‘Jesus Encounters’ are about spending time with Jesus and allowing His Spirit to lead you into everything He has for you. He may speak to you through a sense, a feeling, a sound, a vision, a smell, a scripture – He can communicate with us in so many ways. Don’t dismiss the small whispers that come to you as you spend time with Him.
This encounter is one to use at those times when you sense that Jesus wants to open up new things to you. In order to ‘make room for the new’, we need to identify the old things that are blocking the new. Then identify those new things that the Lord wants to reveal to you. If your hands are full of the old, then how will they hold of the new?
Do the encounter at your own pace, with no pressure to rush into the next section of the encounter until you are ready.
